LONDON

Woke up in London yesterday,
Found myself in the city near Piccadily,
Don't really know how I got here(with EasyJet),
I got some pictures on my phone(camera),

New names and numbers that I don't know
Address to places like Abbey Road (Our Hostel & Big Ben)
Day turns to night, night turns to whatever we want (like clubbing & trotting through snow!)
We're young enough to say

Oh this has gotta be the good life
This has gotta be the good life
This could really be a good life, good life

Say oh, got this feeling that you can't fight
Like this city is on fire tonight ( Or Freezing!)
This could really be a good life
A good, good life

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

To my friends in NEW YORK, I say hello!
My friends in L.A. they don't know
Where I've been for the past few years (months) or so
From Paris to China Rome to Colorado Seville

Sometimes there's airplanes I can't jump out
Sometimes there's bullshit that don't work now
We all got our stories but please tell me (Like mine below)
What there is to complain about?

When you're happy like a fool (Like dancing on the dance floor)
Let it take you over (Like music through the air)
When everything is out (Like the lights in certain parts of Paris after two)
You gotta take it in (Like enjoying what's around and "Keep Calm and Have Another Beer")

Hopelessly, I feel like there might be something that I'll miss
Hopelessly, I feel like the window closes oh so quick
Hopelessly, I'm taking a mental picture of you now
'Cause hopelessly
The hope is we have so much to feel good about

Say oh, got this feeling that you can't fight
Like this city is on fire tonight
This could really be a good life
A good, good life.

So this past weekend I went to London with my best friends and new friends.
It was a grand weekend. We left early Friday morning with a flight to London that got us in around 2pm
Perfect for our check in to our Hostel "Monkeys in the Trees". After checking in we trooped to the "tube" (their transportation system, like our subways) And we went into BAKER Street. When we got out we explored the area and wound up eating at this place called the GLOBE. which had a bar downstairs and seat to eat & drink upstairs. All eight of us ordered FISH & chips a necessity to try in London, minus Natalie we tried Cod instead. but everything was delicious=) After eating we explored more and wound up along the water side where we chatted and took some pictures. Soon after we thought it'd be best to head back to the hostel and get a good night's rest for the 8AM day the next morning.

Saturday we woke up early, ate breakfast at the Hostel and headed back on the tube to our Big Bus Tour. which allowed us to hop on and off the Bus at whatever time we wanted to. We hopped on the Red line and eventually got off around the Harry Potter tour stop.We took some pictures on the Lion statues and fountains they had in this monumental area and then we took pictures in London telephone booths! From here we headed to Buckingham Palace! Which was beautiful. We didn't get to see the guards change but we still got to see them and the place where Kate and William kissed! Then we walked through St. James Park and enjoyed the wild life there, like the interactive squirrels and birds. PS first EUROPEAN squirrel we've seen! =) After the park we searched for lunch around this time and Jordan, Natalie, and I got lunch at Frankie's and I ordered a milkshake with a burger as they ordered beers with burgers haha I just needed a little bit of sweetness! (missing Johnny Rockets shakes!) The shake wasn't as sweet either hah but it was Good! After Lunch we rushed to get to the Harry Potter tour where we were able to walk to different sections of where Harry Potter was filmed! We went to Diagonal Alley, Hardy's candy store, which featured sweets from the movie and other parts! We learned some neat facts too! Like how J.K. Rowling is the richest self made woman and that roughly every 30 seconds someone picks up a Harry Potter book to read! so crazy and good for her! Our tour guide also told us where PLATFORM nine and three quarters is which is featured in the first film!  After Harry Potter we experienced real life history! Waitangi Day commemorates a significant day in the history of New Zealand. It is a public holiday held each year on 6 February to celebrate the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, New Zealand's founding document, on that date in 1840. This is where New Zealand gained independence from Britain! So literally the streets of London were filled with a bunch of DRUNK New Zealanders! It was intense. There were crowds of people and one guy even climbed a pole near BIG BEN! Definitely an adventure I will never forget. After pulling away from the crowds it was our mission to find Jordan & Korrie who separated earlier from us and planned to meet up with us on Westminister Abbey but b/c of New Zealand's Independence Day we couldn't get to that destination! After about forty minutes of searching for them we miraculously found them! It was unbelievable. We then hopped back on the bus and headed to Baker Street to head back to the Hostel and get ready for the night. However, when we got to Baker Street, Brenna, Jordan and I wanted to go to the platform our harry potter tour guide told us about! So we bumped into Amy, Jill and Francesca and made our way to 9 & three quarters! so cool=) then we headed back to our Hostel got ready and met up with the rest of the girls so we could head out. After grabbing a quick dinner like chips & guacomole/salsa at chiptotle we went to the Globe for a quick drink then headed on the tube in search for another area to party in for Korrie's birthday! We wound up doing a lot of transfers and eventually  made it to a club called Rhumba. We danced the night away and had a ton of fun! At the end of the night we finally got a bus and trotted through tons of snow back to our Hostel.

On Sunday we got up at 5:30AM only getting an hour of sleep=[ & we started off our voyage home. After having a crazy day of travelling; From trotting in snow with soaking wet socks and boots; having our 8:20 train be delayed then cancelled; making the 9:20 train; and running around through the train station to find the transfer to the shuttle and then to terminal two at the airports of Manchester; we thankfully and luckily made it to our plane on time departing at 2PM the morning of transferring was super stressful but It was so good to make it home and actually feels quite wonderful to be writing this entry back in my Paris dorm. It's sad to say that we have only about a week and three days left in Paris! Still trying to work on my bucket list and trying to get rid of this cold I developed over the weekend! Adventures Adventures Adventures! Check out my pictures below=)
